Top 5 Must-See Landmarks and Attractions In Cornwall!

January 21, 2018

When it comes to things to do in Cornwall, the list goes on, and on, and on! But what are my all time favourite landmarks to see, explore and photograph? Read on to find out!

1) Land's End

Being the most south westerly point of mainland UK, Land's End is a must for anyone interested in a bit of exploring. With Sennen to the north and Porthcurno to the south, it's a mecca for walkers and the columnal granite cliffs make it a dream for photographers!

2) St Michael's Mount

St Michael's Mount might just be Cornwall's most impressive landmark. Sitting in Mount's Bay on Cornwall's south coast, this small island is topped with an incredible castle and is home to it's very own harbour and glorious gardens! However, the stone causeway that links it to the mainland will only reveal itself at low tide!

3) Wheal Coates

If the surrounding scenery was good enough for “Poldark” then it's good enough for me! Wheal Coates is a former tin mine that is now a UNESCO world heritage site. It sits to this day above the beautiful Chapel Porth beach and is a must for sightseers, explorers and photographers alike!

4) Kynance Cove

Kynance Cove is quite possibly the most breathtaking beach in all of Cornwall, which is a bold claim, I know... But you won't believe your eyes when you see it! Astonishing islands, astounding sea stacks and crystal clear water – this place has it all!

5) Bedruthan Steps

For more gigantic sea stacks, head for Bedruthan Steps! The views are unmissable, the cute cafe serves extraordinary cream teas and the sandy beach below makes for great exploring! But be aware of the tide and be prepared for the steep stairs on the way down!
