Welcombe Mouth, Devon, UK

May 26, 2015

After my previous shoot at Welcombe Mouth, and after I reviewed the resulting photos, I was determined to brave the sketchy roads again. I knew that I needed a higher perspective and a more exciting sunset. I was hoping for some interesting clouds but, in the end it was completely clear and simply beautiful. Other than a bit of fumbling around when getting set up, the experience was really nice thanks to the fairly calm sea. That being said, I also had to fight with the incoming tide and frequently recompose whilst waiting for the sun to go down. As I left with soaking wet feet, I was drawn to the smell of BBQ and was jealous of the group of people gathered around a warm fire. It's a shame that this beach is so far away for me because I can't get enough of it.
