Those aren’t just stars... They're planets!

I got quite excited to see Venus and Jupiter in the sky tonight because they arn't something you see everyday. I immediately got a shot in mind and rushed to the beach to capture it. Compositionally, I wanted a vertical shot for balance and the sea in the foreground for interest. I love the colour that was left over from the sunset and also the positioning of The Moon. It was a strangely warm night and I was even wearing shorts and a t-shirt!

The shoot went well and I was happy to see I could still use a fairly low ISO (for less noise and better quality). I didn't like the aggressive textures in the sea so I took a second photo with a longer shutter speed (also giving a better exposure for the foreground).
